Infant One Teachers

My name is Jenny Waits and I love working at GLC! I grew up in Bryant, AR and graduated from Bryant High School in 2012. I then moved to Conway, attended UCA and graduated in April 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders. I absolutely love working with children and especially have a heart for infants. I love getting to watch and help little ones reach milestones and important goals. I am so thankful for God providing this opportunity for me to take care of and love on the sweet babies at GLC.

My name is Kelsey Moring. I am a student at UCA majoring in Communication Sciences & Disorders. I was born and raised in Jonesboro, AR where I graduated from Valley View High School in 2014. I have worked with children most of my life either babysitting or working with them in my church. Loving on babies has always been one of my favorite hobbies. My most favorite part of life is being a big sister to my 17 year old brother, Tyler. In my spare time, I am usually spending time with friends, doing Bible studies, or eating Chick-fil-A. I am extremely blessed to get to spend my afternoons with the sweet little ones at GLC and see them grow each day!

I have several years of experience working in childcare and have loved every second of being able to invest in the lives of infants and children of all ages! Some of my hobbies are spending time with my friends and family and doing anything outside. I love kids and want to be a pediatric Occupational Therapist when I finish school.

Toddler Teachers

Hey parents! I’m Maddie McDonald; the Toddler teacher here at GLC. I run our coffee bar here at Grace UMC and work with our children’s ministries whenever I can. Teaching toddlers and preschoolers is my dream job, and I am so blessed to be able to teach here at Grace! I’ve always believed that childcare is one of the most rewarding jobs there is. Nothing makes me happier than spending my days getting to know your babies and learning with them. I try my hardest to go through every day with my class doing everything I can to take care of your prized possessions to the very best of my abilities. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your babies lives!

Hi! My name is Lauren McCauley, I’m 20 and I am from Benton, Arkansas. I am the second oldest child out of 5 (including a precious 2-year-old sister that has made me LOVE this age group!) I’m a junior at UCA pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Political Science with a minor in criminology along with a Bachelors of Business Administration; I’m hoping to begin a career in law one day! In my free time I love being outdoors, getting involved on campus, hanging out with my Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority sisters, and binge watching new Netflix series.  I am so very excited to get to love on these sweet kiddos every day, this age group has really shown me what it looks like to give and receive unconditional love and acceptance. This season of life that I am in is a wild one, but so rewarding and I cannot wait to see what God has in store!

Pre-K 2 Teachers

Hi! My name is Terri Bryant. I begin working at GLC in February 2016. I relocated here from Mountain Home to help take care of my grandson while my daughter finishes up her business degree at UCA. I have 10 years experience in childcare. I am a very dedicated teacher and take it very seriously. Even though state only requires 15 training hours a year, last year I received 90 hours. A child learns the most in the 0-3 age span, so these younger years effects the rest of their life.

My name is Michelle, I am originally from Chicago, I moved to Arkansas in 2008 with my family. I started as a teacher in the Grace United Methodist KDO program in 2011. I became the cook for the GLC program when it started. I now work both kitchen in the morning, and teacher for the two’s in the afternoon. I have been married for 21 years and have three teenage children of my own.
